Cycling and walking routes : The Presqu'île au Grand Air

The Guérande region is a favourite destination for lovers of slow-paced tourism. On foot or by bike, the landscapes are revealed in a whole new way.

The Vélocéan: cycling the Atlantic

The Vélocéan is a safe cycle route that runs along the Loire-Atlantique coastline. It links the various seaside towns (Saint-Nazaire, La Baule, Le Croisic, Piriac) with constant views of the ocean. The courses are generally flat and accessible to families.

The GR34: the legendary customs trail

For walkers, the GR34 follows the contours of the coast. Between Guérande and the sea, the paths wind through the marshes or along the cliffs of the Côte Sauvage. Each bend offers a new panorama of the traicts (inlets) or oyster beds.

The Interior Trails: at the heart of our heritage

The heart of the Presqu'île is not to be outdone. Numerous signposted footpaths take you on a discovery tour of the saltmarsh villages, and mills and megaliths (dolmens and menhirs). These trails punctuate the Guérande countryside, offering welcome coolness in the shade of oak and ash trees.
