Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) 

Here you'll find answers to the most frequently asked questions to help you plan your stay at Camping de l'Étang in Guérande. 

📅 Bookings & Payments

When is the campsite open?

The campsite welcomes you from 11 April to 27 September 2026. Bookings can be made online throughout the year.

What methods of payment are accepted?

We accept payment by bank card, cheque, cash, as well as Chèques-Vacances (ANCV).

Is the campsite VACAF approved?

Yes, Camping de l'Étang is accredited VACAF. Don't forget to quote your benefit number when you make your booking request so that we can compile your file.

What are the payment terms?

A deposit of 30 % is required at the time of booking. The balance of your stay must be paid no later than 30 days before your arrival.

🏠 Accommodation & arrivals

What are the arrival and departure times? 

Rentals (Mobile homes, Insolites): Arrivals are from 4pm (3pm in low season) and departures before 10am.

Bare pitches: Arrivals are from 14h and departures before 12h.

Are pets allowed? 

Yes, pets are welcome on pitches and in some rental accommodation (with an extra charge). They must be kept on a lead, tattooed/chipped and have their vaccination certificate up to date. Category 1 and 2 dogs are not permitted. 

Is a deposit required?

Yes, a deposit will be required on arrival (by cheque or bank transfer). This usually comprises a part for the accommodation and a part for cleaning (around €95). It will be returned to you after the inventory of fixtures. 

Is bed linen provided?

Bed linen is not included by default, but we do offer a sheet hire service and baby kits (cot, high chair). Remember to book them in advance!

Arriving outside reception opening hours?

No problem, our team will prepare everything for you so that you can arrive at the campsite in complete peace of mind.

An envelope will be left in the safe near reception with the barrier pass, a map of the campsite as well as the key to the rental accommodation (you can access your rental accommodation by car until 11pm, after which you can only access on foot).

In the event of an emergency, you will be able to find the emergency number displayed on the reception door. Our team will be delighted to meet you the next day before noon to get to know you and for final arrival formalities.

🌊 Espace Aquatique & Détente

Is the pool area heated?

Absolutely! Our indoor swimming pool is heated as soon as it opens du camping en avril. Les toboggans sont accessibles dès que la météo le permet. 

What are the swimming regulations?

For reasons of hygiene, swimming briefs or swim boxer shorts must be worn. Swimming shorts are not permitted. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Do you offer a wellness area?

Yes, we have a space with spa and sauna. You can also book massages for a moment of total relaxation. 

🎡 Activities & Services

What activities are available for children?

The campsite is a real paradise for little ones: mini-club in season, play areas with bouncy castle and trampoline, and above all our educational mini-farm (goats, llamas, ponies...).

Is it possible to fish on site?

Oui, deux options s’offrent à vous :
- L’étang privatif du camping : Accès gratuit et illimité pour les résidents (pêche au coup uniquement, remise à l’eau obligatoire).
- L’Étang de Sandun (juste en face) : Idéal pour les carnassiers et les carpes.

Is there a Wi-Fi connection?

Wi-Fi is available throughout the campsite (fee payable). 

What catering services do you offer?

We have a snack-bar offering takeaway or terrace food, as well as a bread and pastries drop-off service every morning (to order).

📍 Location & Tourism

How far is the beach from here?

The famous beach of La Baule and the shores of the Guérande peninsula are around 9 minutes' drive (9 km) away.

Is the campsite close to the town centre?

The medieval town of Guérande and its ramparts can be reached in just a few minutes by car. The Parc Naturel Régional de Brière is also within easy reach for some great walks.
